The
Little Scribbles
Show
Arts Entertainment & Healing for Young Patients
Little Scribbles is a closed circuit television program broadcast at Phoenix Children's Hospital. Using virtual communications and video, show host Bryce Davidson takes one-second scribbles, done by patients, and transforms them into one-of-a-kind pieces of original art! Patients watch in real time as their simple scribbles turn into out of this world cartoons and creatures.
Using years of theatrical improv training, and his epic powers of randomness, Bryce gives each creation its own original name, voice, and story. Patients laugh in bewilderment as they watch their little scribbles become original characters like "Betty Bubblesaurus" and "Wally the Warm-hearted Whale."
After each show, the completed drawings are scanned, printed, and delivered back to patients. Short-term patients go home with a special gift from the show, while long-term patients get a fun room decoration to bring them a smile during treatment.
